Kevin Durant was not happy about the Thunder collapse to the Clippers Wednesday night. Thunder blew a 22 point lead as the Clippers ended the 4th quarter on a 26-5 run. Here is what Durant told The Oklahoman.
“Just no discipline,” Durant said. “Playing too loose.”
“We’re fooling ourselves if we want to be a great team the way that we’re playing,” Durant said. “We’re fooling ourselves.”
The Thunder started the past 10 games with a loss to the Warriors. Since that first loss the Thunder are now 4-6 in the last ten losing to Warriors (twice), Pelicans, Pacers, Cavaliers, and now the Clippers. In three of those games the Thunder blew late 4th quarter leads.
Maybe Durant is right, because great teams find a way to close out teams. Regardless of the caliber of the opponent.
