Metta World Peace and Kobe Bryant are back to being teammates on the Los Angeles Lakers this season. Though it isn’t like the good ol’ days like about a half-decade ago, but at least the two veterans are enjoying their time together despite LA being 14-54.
Both players have several things in common, particularly when it comes to the rap game. World Peace has released a whole rap album before, while Kobe made a single with Tyra Banks. Let’s just say we’re glad they didn’t choose rap as their first career.
Kobe was recently asked a couple of weeks ago if he’d revive his rap career, and he hilariously declined. World Peace recently spoke with LA Weekly, and he talked about the time when he rapped with Kobe in a hotel room back in 2009.
There, World Peace realized that the Black Mamba was a better rapper than him.
“He liked one of my songs,” World Peace said, “so he came to my room and we flowed. He’s so much better than me…so good with words. He ought to write a movie.”
I think we all know why Metta says he should write a movie instead of another rap song…
