If you’re new to Trailer Park Boys, give it a try, but be prepared to not understand the chaos that is happening. But after a few episodes in, the wholesome undertone will show through and you’ll be hooked. If you don’t want wholesome, there is plenty of swearing and dope smoking for you to focus on, too.
I started watching the show when I was a very poor 18-year old living on my own. It taught me that being poor didn’t have to be shameful- these scumbags were living in their cars, drinking out of cut-toff two-liter soda bottles, and enjoying life more than most.
Bubbles (pictured with Snoop Dogg) will eventually steal your heart, but the first thing that hooked me was the clever ”wordplay” by Robb Wells (Ricky). There is strong language, so be warned:
Ricky, Julian, and Bubbles are back for a 10th season of the hit Canadian TV show produced by Swearnet, a company ran by the three main actors Robb Wells, John Paul Tremblay, and Mike Smith who bought the rights from the original producers. They have taken the show into the 21st century, doing a ton of exclusive content on their website as well as a fantastic podcast.
The TV show hit Netflix at midnight last night and the reviews have great. One new character on the scene at Sunnyvale Trailer Park is none other than Snoop Dogg. I’m guessing it has something to do with the new dispensary that opened up in the park because Doug Benson shows up as well.
