Here is what ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne is reporting.
Sources indicate Derek Fisher has interest in the Lakers job. Obviously Laker front office still compiling their list and gauging interest from potential candidates after Byron Scott wasn’t retained Sunday night.
The Lakers shouldn’t spend more than a minute considering Fisher’s interest and then eliminating him from consideration.
The Lakers have been filled with drama for far too long. What they need in a coach is someone stable, experience and has the ability to coach young players.
Lakers players already have trust issues after the D’Angelo Russell incident, how do you think they are going to feel about a coach who has been accused of trying to get with multiple players’ girlfriends and wives?
Maybe Fisher gets another job in the NBA someday, but it shouldn’t be with Lakers.
