Derryck Thornton to Transfer; Uncle Goes On Twitter Rant Blasting Duke

Derryck Thornton transferring from Duke

After winning their fifth National Championship a year ago, the Duke Blue Devils were in scramble mode trying to find a point guard.

Before their title run in March, most believed Tyus Jones would at least be a two-year player, but his stock rose to heights it probably wouldn’t have matched if he stuck around another year.

In a desperate attempt, Duke “begged” five-star point guard Derryck Thornton to forgo his senior year of high school to come to Durham, according to his uncle, who has been on a roll today on Twitter after the news broke of his nephew’s plans to transfer.

Trust me, it only gets better.

  • If he didn’t play scared he would have more playing time

  • He is upset because he gonna have to battle it out with Frack Jackson to start next year.

  • My last payment was $8474 working 11 hours a week online. My sisters friend has been averaging 16k for months now and she works about 19 hours a week. I can’t believe how easy it was once I tried it out. This is what I do…N31

  • He couldn’t guard anyone or bring the ball up the court….the kid has skills and could be a great player for Duke but last year was not his time…if he stayed he wouldn’t be starter anyway….
