Athletic apparel giant Sports Authority recently filed bankruptcy and that has caused concern for the Broncos and the stadium they play in when it comes to naming rights.
One large marijuana company is interested in purchasing the naming rights.
Native Roots — one of Colorado’s largest marijuana dispensaries is ready to pony up $6 million a year — to take over the naming rights.
“Native Roots was born and raised in Colorado and we are the natural candidate for this,” founding partner Rhett Jordan said, according to CBS Denver.
Native Roots made the announcement on April 1, but maintain they are serious about the possible venture, and have the cash to do so.
