Instead of watching his colleagues battle it out on UFC on FOX 19, featherweight Diego Brandao is spending some time behind bars in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
According to a report by the ABQ Journal, Brandao attended local strip club ‘Knockouts’ where he argued with the club’s DJ before leaving. Brandao then returned, was denied entry, and attempted to punch several employees. Instead of leaving for good, he returned once more with a gun and pointed it at patrons before striking a club employee with it. Following the incident Brandao was arrested and charged with aggravated battery and three counts of aggravated assault.
Brandao is currently under temporary suspension from the Nevada State Athletic Commission after testing positive for marijuana metabolites following January’s UFC 195 event. No comment from the UFC on Brandao’s arrest at this time.
