It was a night full of sweat and punches as we saw Krzysztof Glowacki vs Steve Cunningham as well as Chris Algieri vs Errol Spence Jr. Premier Boxing Champions is doing a terrific job with these matches.
Rounds 1-4 of this match demonstrated Spence Jr’s power. He was giving Algieri hard blows to the body and was not going to let Algieri’s blocking get in his way. There was only so much ducking that Algieri could’ve done.
Then came the fifth round.
With the fifth round just getting started, Chris Algieri found himself in a hole as Errol Spence Jr came out with his fists of fury. Algieri made contact with the floor several times as tonight’s match came to an early end in the fifth round.
Chris Algieri had a lot at stake for tonight’s match and to see where his career is going to take him next is going to be interesting because he now holds a 21-3 record. Losing tonight was probably not on his mind but Spence Jr is the truth right now.
Another match that was quite the sight was Krzysztof Glowacki vs Steve Cunningham.
Krzysztof Glowacki vs Steve Cunningham was quite the match to watch tonight on PBC (Premier Boxing Champions). These two titled the Cruiserweight World Championship and many may be thinking that Cunningham’s age had a lot to do with tonight’s match.
In the very first round, Glowacki exploded out of his corner and came out in attack mode on Cunningham. Cunningham made contact with the floor several times tonight and just never quite caught up to Glowacki. Whenever Glowacki would lay the left hand, Cunningham never saw it coming. However, Glowacki’s pace did start to wind down towards the seventh round. Cunningham had several opportunities to possibly knock him out but he just didn’t have his best stuff tonight.
This match made it to the twelfth round and Glowacki won. The two fighters hugged it out on the ring. It was a match full of wild punches but Glowacki dominated the match from the very start.
