Charlotte Hornets’ point guard Kemba Walker thinks he deserves to be crowned the NBA’s Most Improved Player for the 2015-2016 season and is doing all he can to get his fans to vote for him. Kemba has shown that he has improved his game over the last few years and after launching his #WinWithWalker campaign, Kemba is bound to bring in the attention and votes needed to win the award.
Walker, in his 5th season, is averaging 21.2 points, 5.1 assist and 1.6 steals. His scoring average is up almost 4 points from last season and most importantly, his team is red-hot headed into the playoffs. Walker really could win the award but we can’t forget about C.J. McCollum of the Portland Trailblazers.
McCollum, who had only started 3 games in the NBA prior to this season averaging less than 7 points per game during his career, has started 78 games this year averaging 20.9 points per game. That is a huge improvement for a player who was reasonably unknown by many last year.
