With the playoffs just around the corner, it’s not an encouraging sign to see the Cleveland Cavaliers blowing double-digit leads to inferior opponents, such as the Chicago Bulls.
However, that was the case last night, as Cleveland squandered an 11-point lead to a desperate Chicago squad.
Kyrie Irving had some uncharacteristic turnovers in the fourth, which he’s owning up to.
“I was just real s—-y with the basketball, that’s all,” Irving said. “Handle wasn’t crisp, and Justin Holiday threw great defensive pressure at the top of the key, and their defense was extending me out almost to half court. For me, just coming to the bench, I just got to do a better job of leading that second unit — especially when Bron [James] and Kevin [Love] are on the bench.
If Cleveland wants any chance of winning the title this year, they’ll need everyone outside of LeBron to be playing at a very high level.
