This fall Thursday Night Football will be streamed live @twitter so fans will see more of this. https://t.co/s6tbr9FjvY

I have predicted the demise of cable and satellite TV in the not so distant future.
The success of streaming services like Netflix and HULU may one day make over the air TV a dinosaur. The one thing that cable and satellite have to their advantage is live sporting events.
But, with announcements like the one today about Twitter live streaming Thursday Night Games, you have to wonder will that be where leagues will be headed at some point.
The networks pay billions for the NFL and a lot for NBA, MLB, NCAA and etc, if they ever were to go to streaming exclusively, it might be the end.
This isn’t something that is going to happen overnight, but possibly in our lifetime.
