The WWE has a very deep and growing roster, so it’s no surprise that Vince McMahon and the creative team have decided to reinvigorate their early-2000’s brand split.
There are pros and cons to this brand split, which we will explain in this two-part editorial, but one thing that all fans would agree with is that a change is needed.
The past few months there’s been an influx of talent from NXT and limited time for those wrestlers to shine. Even established wrestlers such as Dean Ambrose, Sheamus and Alberto Del Rio have declined because of the crowded roster.
The brand split is coming at the perfect time and the WWE has enough unique talent to make both shows must watch television. Let’s get into breaking down the 5 pros to the brand split.
1. The Ability to Build More Main Card Stars
We’ve seen Kevin Owens step right into Raw and becomes a superstar but not everyone has the charisma and talent of Owens. A lot of wrestlers need constant television time and endless reps to reach their full potential. The brand split will essentially double the television time for the superstars and place the focus back on in-ring action.
