The Xtreme Rules PPV is a set up for this summer’s events and don’t expect many of the feuds to carry on past this event. With the impending return of John Cena, Seth Rollins and Bray Wyatt things will begin to take shape for the Summer Slam run.
- Dolph Ziggler vs. Baron Corbin (No Disqualification) – Ziggler defeated Corbin at Payback, so it’s his turn to put the young heel over. Corbin hasn’t had that marquee win in the WWE yet and he’ll need to pull out all of his dastardly moves to solidify his hell character. Corbin Wins
- The Usos vs. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson (Tornado Tag) – Gallows and Anderson are part of the huge ‘The Club’ push and The Usos are the sacrificial lambs. This match will kick-off the PPV portion and likely play into the main event. Gallows and Anderson Win
- Dean Ambrose vs. Chris Jericho (Asylum Match) – I’m still confused by this match. The cage really serves no purposes and everything hanging above the cage could easily be found under the ring in normal matches. Nonetheless, Ambrose is here to crush Jericho and end his television run. He’s held down the fort and allowed the injured to return and this’ll serve as his going away match. Ambrose Wins
