Moritz Boehringer, the first ever foreign-born player without college football experience to be drafted into the NFL and now he is bringing the umlaut to America.
Boehringer had been using an ‘e’ in his name to replace the umlaut, but the NFL approved the umlaut could be used on his jersey so we could be seeing more of the umlaut. It’s pretty fun to type.
