I don’t know how Steve Madden thinks they can get away with this, but more power to them I guess.
The shoe company is looking to profit off the latest craze that is coming from Adidas, whether it’s their Boost sneakers, the Yeezy line, Primeknit material and everything else in between.
The latest from Steve Madden is this new sneaker model, which looks like a complete rip-off of the “Turtle Dove” Adidas Yeezy 350 Boost. It has the same Primeknit-style pattern and rope laces. They even added a 3M strap to the sneaker.
To make things worse, they even incorporated the “Pirate Black” and “Turtle Dove” 350 colorways on the Steve Madden Morlee, which is a slip-on sneaker. The shoe copies the pattern, as well as completely ripping off the back heel tab.
This isn’t the first time Steve Madden has done something like this. They ripped off a Skechers design in the past, which is ironic because that Skechers design was originally ripped off from Nike.
We’ll keep you updated on if Kanye West or Adidas decides to push a lawsuit their way.
