Ridiculous things happen constantly in our society and we often skim the surface and move on. According to TMJ4, the Milwaukee Police are searching for a man who fired shots at a local Taco Bell early Monday morning after the disgruntled customer was upset over a missing item in his order, this according to restaurant management.
Milwaukee Police Department Sgt. Timothy Gaurke said:
A customer fired a gun into the drive through window and into an employee’s car, the shooting occurred around 12:20 a.m. on the 5700 block of W. Fond du Lac Avenue.
According to Taco Bell management, the man was upset that employees forgot to add sour cream to his order. Apparently he called the restaurant after discovering the missing sour cream and was told to come back the next day and receive a free meal for the error, as the restaurant had already closed. Well, this clearly wasn’t god enough as he returned immediately an opened fire.
Like some, your inclination may be to laugh it off as someone really upset about their quesadilla or gordita being served without sour cream. But, do we really think this was just about missing sour cream? Too many seemingly innocuous incidents occur and we don’t examine the why? How did this man end up in a state of mind that a lack of a condiment prompted the reaction of shooting up a taco bell and an employee’s car?
