Rapper Troy Ave has dodged a first degree murder charge in the shooting at a T.I. concert in NYC last month. However, he was indicted on 5 other felony charges that could land him a lengthy prison sentence.
Legal docs reveal that Troy faces one count of attempted second degree murder and four counts of criminal possession of a weapon. Ronald McPhatter, Troy’s bodyguard was killed in the shootout last month but ballistics testing confirmed that the shots that killed him did not come from the weapon Troy was seen firing that night.
The rapper’s attorney, Scott Leemon, say that he will ask for Troy’s release on bail at his next hearing next week.
