The city of Cleveland is still partying 2 days after winning the NBA Championship. The celebratory parade is scheduled for Wednesday at 11 a.m. and everyone will be allowed to attended, even those who are scheduled to be in court. According to Cleveland.com, all defendants get a pass on their Wednesday’s court appearances without any discipline. Cleveland Municipal Court judge has ruled that he won’t issue any warrants for those who fail to appear.
“Given the historic nature of the Cleveland Cavaliers NBA Championship victory, it is only right and proper that the Cleveland Municipal Court facilitate an opportunity for our employees and those who use the Cleveland Municipal Court’s facilities to join with the rest of Northeast Ohio and the Cavaliers’ nation for the celebratory parade scheduled to take place tomorrow,” Presiding Judge Ronald B. Adrine said in the news release.
It must be nice to be in Cleveland. All that is asked of the defendants is that they call and reschedule their court dates.
