Kurt Angle’s brother admitted he killed his wife, but argued it wasn’t intentional.
Here are the details of the case and the plea deal via Wrestlezone.
According to to WTAE, David Angle, the 63 year old brother of Kurt Angle, pleaded guilty to killing his wife, Donna Angle, at their Pennsylvania home. After being charged with homicide, David Angle reached a plea agreement for the lesser charge of voluntary manslaughter.
Angle told police in September that he had gotten into a big argument with Donna, 57, after he refused an offer of Vodka from her. He said that Donna tried to kick him, and he reacted by placing his foot on her chest and pulling back on her arms. She lost consciousness and was never revived.
“It was really a product of alcohol,” defense attorney Bill Diffenderfer told Pittsburgh’s Action News 4. “And there was a domestic fight where she started smacking him and he stopped her from doing that. His knees were on her chest and basically she suffocated. And he was intoxicated as well and it was almost accidental.”
He is looking at 10 years in jail for the crime.
