As we all mourn the life of The Great Muhammad Ali, storytellers will come from everywhere to tell about how he has changed and molded lives of so many people. Well, according to TMZ, President Barack Obama is no exception to this.
President Obama knew Ali and even displayed a coveted pair of gloves in the study outside of the The Oval Office, right under the iconic photograph of then Cassius Clay knocking out Sonny Liston.
The 44th President also wrote a very moving piece about Ali, quoting the champ who once said,
“I am America. I am the part you won’t recognize. But get used to me– black, confident, cocky; my name, not yours; my religion, not yours; my goals, my own. Get used to me.”
It is definitely a moving piece, I advise everyone to read it.
