Unless you’re a die-hard MLB fan, the cabinets are pretty bare this time of year when it comes to meaningful baseball, so any little spark is a big help.
The in-state rivalry between The Texas Rangers and Houston Astros may have a new chapter after Astros reliever Ken Giles said this to MLB.com’s Brian McTaggart after a 6-5 loss to the Rangers:
“We have more talent than this team does. That’s what I believe and we shouldn’t be losing these types of ballgames. We’re going to go out there tomorrow and put them to the ground.”
I’d say those are fightin’ words (figuratively speaking of course).
The Rangers definetly took those words to heart and made sure to post the full quotes in it’s clubhouse as a daily reminder:

They say good coaches are always looking for new forms of motivation for their teams, and the Astros…well, Ken Giles, has given the Rangers theirs for the next week or so.
