Actions always have consequences. After the shooting at Irving Plaza, Rolling Stone reports that Live Nation cancel/postpone six shows in NYC.
Live Nation have a host of shows at Irving Plaza and Gramercy theater for the Governor’s Ball After Dark Series. Shows include Joey Bada$$, Mac Miller, YG, Appetite For Destruction, Black Pistol Fire and Vince Staples.
A spokesperson for Irving Plaza and Gramercy Theatre tell Rolling Stone
In light of last week’s tragic event, we are acting with an overabundance of caution and coordinating a going forward strategy with the New York Police Department that may also include a curfew
“Because these discussions with New York Police Department are ongoing, we will be postponing a few of our upcoming shows.”
That shooting will have impact concerts in NYC for the entire summer and beyond. It’s already incredibly difficult to book rap shows and this just makes it 10x harder on everybody.
If you’re going to any concerts, please be careful.
