It’s been made clear by his production, and from the words of coaches and opponents — DeAndre Hopkins is one of the top wide receivers in the NFL.
The Houston Texans parted ways with Andre Johnson and his huge contract, because they believed the blossoming Hopkins was ready to become an elite talent.
Hopkins became that and more — so now he wants to get paid for his production. According to Adam Schefter — Hopkins is officially a holdout.
Update: Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins did not report to training camp. He now will be subject to fines of $40,000 for each day missed.

What that means for the Texans and more importantly — Brock Osweiller, is anyone’s guess.
Hopkins was named to the Pro Bowl for the first time last season — after 111 receptions for 1,521 yards and 11 touchdowns, and has gone on record, praising Osweiler’s work ethic.
