Texas beauty pageant winner Caitlin Cifuentes’ reign as Miss Corpus Christi Latina has come to an end thanks to the losing contestants that exposed her past legal problems.
According to the New York Daily News, Cifuentes was stripped of her crown this month after six fellow contestants brought her past legal troubles, a conviction for an aggravated assault and driving while intoxicated in 2013, to pageant officials. The losing contestants filed, and won, a $100,000 dollar lawsuit that successfully stripped Cifuentes as the winner and awarded runner-up Victoria Barrera the crown. To add insult to injury, once the revelation was made, Cifuentes was fired from her long term bar job as terms of her probation prohibit her from drinking or going to a bar, according to a second story on KZTV.
