ESPN it appears to be trying to usher out the old and bring in the new.
The old is Tom Jackson who has been at the network for 28 years, but his time could be coming to an end according to NY Daily News.
Tom Jackson, who spent 28 seasons as one of the most recognizable and insightful NFL studio analysts on television, likely will not return to ESPN’s “Sunday NFL Countdown” the Daily News has learned.
Another industry said the odds of Jackson returning to ESPN are long.
“My guess is he is going to leave,” the source said.
There will be some new faces on Sunday Countdown (Randy Moss, Charles Woodson and Matt Hasselbeck) and there have been reports that Chris Berman will be retiring soon as well, so it makes sense that Jackson may want out.
