Taylor Swift didn’t just find out yesterday that Kanye recorded their conversation about the song “FAMOUS”.
She knew for months and when confronted about her lies and why she made statements at the GRAMMYS like she had no idea what the song was about, she threatened to sue.
Taylor Swift threatened Kanye West with criminal prosecution months ago for secretly recording her phone conversation with him … TMZ has learned.
TMZ has a copy of a letter Taylor’s lawyer sent to Kanye’s attorney back in February. The lawyer made it clear, under California law, anyone who secretly records a telephone conversation with someone in the state commits a criminal offense … and it’s a felony.
She wanted the tapes destroyed so no one would ever be able to verify that she indeed didn’t seem to have a problem with the song.
While it isn’t cool to secretly record anyone, when you have the feeling someone might stab you in the back, I can understand why.
Kim decided to release the tapes anyway.
