As fear, sadness and frustration continue to maintain a strangle hold on Americans in the wake of the Alton Sterling and Philandro Castille murders at the hands of police, and the Dallas Police Officer Sniper murders, The Game and Snoop Dogg are not sitting by in compliant silence while the world rages on.
On Friday, Compton and Long Beach combined forces to lead and mobilize men of all races to participate in a peaceful march titled Operation H.U.N.T. Marching to the Los Angeles Police Department, the two coordinated the meeting to foster dialogue with law enforcement officials and to make a call to all for peace and unity.
After completing the peace march through downtown Los Angeles, participants attended a graduation ceremony for the police department’s newest recruits before Game and Snoop headed into a private, closed door meeting with Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and LAPD Chief Charlie Beck. Once complete, the four emerged to make an impassioned plea for peace to the masses.
Kudos to Game and Snoop for tackling the issues head on. Hashtags won’t solve anything.
