Ben Roethlisberger feels that Colin Kaepernick should stand for the National Anthem because of the military.
Kaepernick has clearly stated this has nothing to do with the military and he has great respect for them.
He also stated that he is thinking about their sacrifices and some of the struggles they deal with when they come back to the his country they are fighting for.
“I have great respect for men and women that have fought for this country. I have family, I have friends, who have gone and fought for this country. And they fight for freedom. They fight for the people — they fight for liberty and justice … for everyone. And that’s not happening. I mean people are dying in vain because this country isn’t holding their end of the bargain up, as far as giving freedom and liberty and justice to everybody.”
Not sure how anyone can disagree with this statement and while players are saying they agree with Kaepernick’s message, none of them are explaining how they are going to try to help end police brutality and racial injustice.
