Olympic Organizers & officials are doing everything in their power to get through the rest of these games without huge hitches, however; those pesky green pools are starting to foul up the remainder of the events.
After athletes complaints of burning, itchy eyes & foul odors filling the building, the diving pool that recently turned green with algae, has been closed while a solution is worked on:
Rio 2016 confirm diving pool closed this morning while they continue to sort out the water. One or two athletes had “itchy eyes”. Erm..

Diving pool is closed this morning. Hopefully that means we haven’t been diving in anything too bad the last couple of days! ???

The issues aren’t stopping in the diving pools either.
Only a day after discovering the diving pool was rapidly darkening, the water polo pool; which shares the same venue, has also come under attack. One German diver compared the environment to quite the unpleasant odor:
The Olympic diving pool has been closed again because of water quality issues…a German diver says “the whole building smells like a fart”

There’s been no decision announced as to whether the 3:30pm EST start time will be postponed or not.
What a crappy situation.
