Rapper Memphis Bleek’s attempt to file for Chapter 13 ended months after being filed leading people to believe that long-time friend Jay Z may have been there Bleek when he needed him most.
According Bossip.com Bleek, who lists assets in the amount of $274,190 and liabilities totalling $384,804.91 failed to appear at the August 8th court appearance leaving the judge with no choice but to dismiss the matter.
Memphis assets are his Keyport, New Jersey home worth $250,000, a 2012 Chevy Impala valued at $14,000, $2,970 in household goods, $120 in pictures and books, $2,000 in clothing, $5,000 in wedding rings, $0 in his Chase Business account, $100 in cash on hand, ownership of his company Get Low Touring worth $0.
However, the rapper’s liabilities include $335,000 owed on the NJ home, $24,000 on the Chevy Impala, $9,000 to the IRS and $13,000 to Monmouth County Superior Court.
The former Roc-A-Fella Records artist said he is self-employed and runs his company Get Low Touring – and brings in $5,340.94 from his business and $571 in royalties per month.
With no new deal, reportable income, or family help listed on documents, the quick turn around in Bleek’s finances leaves you wondering if Jigga man swooped in and saved the day.
