It just seems like the good ones leave us too soon. Many of us are still trying to pull ourselves together from the untimely death of Stuart Scott and now another ESPN pioneer, John Saunders, has left us. Saunders, 61, was one of favorite and one of the best to ever do it. Saunders’ unique style, voice and laugh would brighten all those who crossed paths with him. He brought a level of professionalism with him to work daily that put him in a class of his own.
ESPN has released a special tribute video after the passing of Saunders that was narrated by Bob Ley, one of the very few people who worked for ESPN longer than Saunders’ 30 years.
Saunders leave behind his wife Wanda and his two daughters Jenna and Alesha.
