This is probably the last thing that the Florida State football needs, but it appears that the strength and conditioning coach, Victor Viloria, has been arrested for DUI Saturday morning after willingly admitting that he had been drinking excessively.
At 5:06 a.m. Saturday, Tallahassee Police found Florida State head strength and conditioning coach Victor Viloria asleep at the wheel of his truck on the I-10 off-ramp on North Monroe Street.
His truck was still in drive and Viloria’s foot was on the brake pedal. Officers tried to wake him up before he drove South onto Monroe Street with police standing next to the truck.
He traveled up an embankment, nearly missed a utility pole before he was pulled over. Viloria hit an electronic cross-walk sign while driving up the embankment.
Viloria, 37, was charged with DUI and property damage.
He told police he was coming from work where he drank multiple “big” alcoholic beverages in his office on FSU’s campus. He also acknowledged that he should not have been driving.
FSU athletics has issued a statement acknowledging that they’re aware of the incident and will be investigating further. Things don’t look good for Viloria, however, as the FSU employee strictly forbids alcohol on campus.
