Russell Wilson has everything going for him right now.
The Seattle Seahawks star earned a huge contract with the team, has a Super Bowl ring, is on a team that can contend for Super Bowls for the next several years, is one of top quarterbacks in the NFL and, of course, is married to Ciara.
The 27-year-old recently did an interview with Complex, in which he discussed several things many may not know about him in regards to the married life, his pregame music choices, the future of the Seahawks and more.
One of the big tidbits, of course, is that Wilson likes to listen to gospel music before kickoff instead of what many may be accustomed to, such as guys like Drake, Kanye West, Future and other artists.
Wilson is not about the 6 God:
You have one song to listen to before kickoff, what’re you listening to?
That’s a great question. “I’m Gonna Be Ready” by Yolanda Adams. That’s probably my go-to song. Before a game, I’m always listening to gospel music. I’m just so grateful on game day. I don’t try to be all amped up. I try to be calm as can be and just grateful that I can play the game. It’s a special, special day, those days.
So you’re not listening to Drake, Eminem, or anyone like that before kickoff?
Nah, I’m chillin’ out.
The three-time Pro Bowler also discussed being with Ciara:
Congratulations on the marriage, how is the married life?
It’s a blessing man, to find someone so special, so sweet. She’s one of the best people you can ever meet, one of the best moms you can ever meet. I’m just grateful for that.
