Looks like Cordell’s heart wasn’t in it as he led on before.
This isn’t the first time Cordell has quit the UCLA football team. Upon becoming one of the top WR’s in the nation, Cordell as offered a scholarship to play for UCLA only to quit because he wanted to focus on film-making. But like most kids, he missed the game and decided to come back as a walk on, but sadly, it wasn’t for long. It’s been reported that Cordell did not show up for training camp on Monday and is no longer on the roster. UCLA Associate Director of Communications, Steve Rourke, confirms that he is no longer apart of the team.
Cordell Broadus no longer with the #UCLA program, says Jim Mora. … Knows Broadus has other passions in his life.

According to TMZ, sources close to Cordell confirms that his head just isn’t in the game.
As long as he’s doing what he loves, nothing else matters. The only downside to all of this is leading the team on and becoming unreliable. Your word is all you have to some people and if you can’t commit or give them respect for their craft, it’s hard to gain that trust back.
