After fearing that he might not be in the NBA this season, Lance Stephenson has agree to a one year deal with the New Orleans Pelicans.

Stephenson had reportedly considered taking his talents to China, and he still may end up overseas, as Pro Basketball Talk is reporting that Lance may not have a guaranteed deal.
Pelicans already have 15 guaranteed deals, would be surprised it Lance Stephenson got a locked in contract.

How Stephenson will fit in with the Pelicans is anybody’s guess.
Stephenson has struggled since leaving Indiana — was awful with the Clippers for the first half of last season, but saved his career after a trade to Memphis — as he regained his sixth man niche — averaging 14.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.8 assists per contest, in 26 games.
New Orleans has some good talent, but they can’t stay healthy as an organization, and Stephenson could be presented with the opportunity to become a huge cog in their system.
Alvin Gentry knows he can start Lance or bring him the bench — with the luxury of having Stephenson play multiple positions.
