Normally, Brady is on the field with the Patriots, but for the next few weeks, he’ll be on the other side – a fan.
Brady, who is suspended four games because of deflate gate, can’t be with or near anyone associated with the Patriots including practice facilities. Here’s how he spent his first game of the suspension:
“I was home in Boston so I had a little time during the day to spend some time with the family. I spent a little time working out and obviously watched a lot of football. It’s fun to sit on the couch and see a lot of those games from a different perspective.
“I watched that one channel — that Red Zone Channel that captures everything, which is pretty amazing. It’s a great way to watch how a lot of the flows of the games are going. You see a lot of situations. There’s a lot to learn every week in the NFL. I know Coach Belichick covers so much situational football with our team on a week-to-week basis. You can sit back and watch a lot of the games and how they’re transpiring. There was a lot of close games yesterday, the two-point conversion in the Raiders-Saints game, the ebbs and flows of that game and the Jacksonville-Green Bay game. … Obviously I love the sport so much, and to have a chance to watch all those games under difficult circumstances — obviously I’d rather be out there playing — it was still an enjoyable Sunday, nonetheless.”
Brady can relax a bit as the Patriots are the only undefeated team in the AFC East and it looks like they can cruise once again to another division title.
