D’Angelo Russell knows he was the No. 2 pick in the NBA draft, so it doesn’t matter what people think of him — he’s talented and the Lakers are deeply invested in his maturation as a player.
Stephen Jackson doesn’t like corny — so you knew he’d respond to D’Angelo Russell’s endorsing Luke Walton as head coach with an IG post paying tribute to the Lakers head coach.
Not feeling the he’s “always been a fan” of Walton comments — Jackson took to Instagram to scold Russell for a new form of “brown-nosing.”
Jackson doesn’t like Russell and the Lakers point guard lacks the street cred or reputation to get any sympathy from his peers.
When I say street cred — I mean Russell lost the support and respect of his peers, aka NBA’s players — when he leaked that video of Swaggy P admitting he cheated on Iggy.
Russell will continue to be the punching bag of his peers and fans until he becomes a star or develops into a consistent point guard, able to lead the Lakers back into the playoffs.
