Tennessee’s loss will likely become someone elses huge gain!
Junior running back Jalen Hurd is transferring from the program, Tennessee coach Butch Jones said during a news conference on Monday afternoon.
The former high school all-american wasn’t feeling the spread formations and decided it was best to move on.
“I met with Jalen Hurd this morning and we had a conversation and I have a great relationship with Jalen. He has informed me he intends to transfer and I support him on that,” Jones said. “I am very, very thankful for everything he has done for our football program.”
Per the Tennessean — Hurd is the third player to leave the program this season.
A preseason Doak Walker Award and Maxwell Award watch list candidate, Hurd rushed 122 times for 451 yards and three touchdowns in seven games this season.
