Only guaranteed job security can keep Chip Kelly from putting Colin Kaepernick on the field at this point right?
It’s time for Kelly to bench quarterback Blaine Gabbert for Colin Kaepernick, but it’s unknown whether he has the chops to do it.
While addressing the media, Kelly was noncommittal about starting Kaepernick before the Bills game?
“I don’t think anybody played well on offense,” Kelly said when asked specifically about Gabbert, who missed open receivers and threw two punishing interceptions. “Nobody did.”
“I think we’re going to look at everything,” Kelly said. “I mean, we’re 1-4, we’ve got to make sure that we’re going out there and giving us the best chance to win, so we’re going to look at everything.”
The 49ers have ten days until they travel to face the Buffalo Bills.
