UFC 205 is roughly 2 weeks away and that means the ‘McGregor Show’ rolls into NYC for the first time ever.
McGregor is the biggest star in UFC history, numbers don’t lie, and he’s proven it once again by setting up UFC 205 to crush all previous UFC records. Mind you, he’s doing this with Eddie Alvarez as his foil.
Alvarez has yet to headline a UFC PPV and won his title on a non-televised Fight Pass card during UFC 200 weekend.
McGregor’s star power has transcended into Mayweather levels. He’s now at the point where his opponent doesn’t matter and he alone is able to drive PPV sale numbers. And with the recent sale of the UFC to WME-IMG, there’s no better time to be King.
