Vikings RB Jerick McKinnon wants you to know that Harambe has not been forgotten. The 3rd year player sported “RIP Harambe” cleats for Sunday’s contest against the Eagles.
The Cincinnati Zoo gorilla was infamously put down earlier this year when a 3-year old boy fell into his enclosure. Fearing for the boy’s safety, a zoo worker shot and killed the 17-year old gorilla.
The killing of Harambe sparked nationwide and worldwide controversy. McKinnon is not the only NFL player to honor the fallen gorilla.
