No one would have guessed the Dallas Cowboys would be 7-1 at this point in the season without Tony Romo taking a single snap. After going 1-11 during the 2015 season without Romo, 4th round draft pick Dak Prescott has not only lifted the spirits of many Dallas fan but many are now saying this should be Dak’s team going forward. The Cowboys at best were hoping to be a .500 team with Romo out but things have been much greater than expected. Early in the year Jerry Jones was very adamant about Romo returning and getting his job back but with a win today the Cowboys now are on a 7-game win streak and Dr. Jerry Jones is speaking a bit more carefully when talking about the Cowboys future at quarterback and Romo’s health.
Jerry Jones excited about where Tony Romo is at. "Nothing but getting better and we'll certainly see him executing really well in practice."

Jerry Jones said he's not sure if Tony Romo will be active vs. the Steelers next Sunday, but thinks Romo will do more this week in practice

Jerry seems to be doing his best to let things play out as he may be forced to eat his own words. Dak and the Cowboys are off to a great start, it would be really hard to replace him at this point with Romo simply because he’s healthy. Right now, it’s just talk but a decision on Dak/Romo and who will be the quarterback to finish this season should be made soon.
