Last year in San Francisco; the NFL introduced an event allowing fans to sit in the stands and watch the Super Bowl contenders interact with the various media entities from across the country during the team’s respective media day…for a fee of course.
The fan experience was so successful; the NFL is deciding to bring it back even bigger, this time to Houston’s Minute Maid Park.
NFL Senior Vice President of Events Peter O’Reilly was pleased at the returning venture:
“Building on the success at Super Bowl 50, we’re excited to bring Super Bowl Opening Night to Houston and provide fans more opportunities to be a part of the excitement of Super Bowl week,”. Hosting the event at the stadium allows us to bring more fans closer to the action, as media from around the world interview members of Super Bowl teams for the first time.”
In addition to the player’s interviews, fans will be treated to a red carpet entrance, gift bags, musical performances, and a radio; in order to tune into the NFL Network’s media day coverage.
Prices to be apart of this event range from $20-$30 (can be found HERE), which actually isn’t a bad deal; especially for families in the area who most definetly will be priced out of attending the actual game itself.
