The Pacers are 3-4 to start the NBA season. It’s early but star forward Paul George is not happy with the team’s lack of cohesion. After surrendering 122 points to the Hornets on Monday, George shared his frustrations with the media. According to Nate Taylor of the Indianapolis Star, George said:
We’re just not tied together. We’re allowing the home teams to have the advantage of being home.
George has a point. In the early going, the Pacers are 0-4 on the road. Plus, they seem to play hot and cold. One night they beat the Bulls by 17, the next they get blown out by the Hornets. Again, it is early but poor habits in the beginning of the season may prove hard to correct later. George continued:
We’re all out of whack. There’s no trust, there’s no chemistry, there’s no belief. We’re kind of just lifeless right now.
The Pacers are working in a new head coach and some new players so this will take some time. Nothing wrong with the team’s star player making sure everyone has a sense of urgency as they work through the kinks.
