Beyonce performing at the CMA’s last night was groundbreaking. I’m not saying that as a fan, but with her politically charge year and album, it’s safe to say, it was shocking to hear of the R&B diva gracing their stage. Beyonce and the Dixie Chicks, who are no strangers to political indifference, performed her country influenced song, “Daddy Lessons” and tore down the stage. The four brought fans to their feet in an electrifying performance, but of course, there were some unhappy people, see Kenny Chesney; it seems like he wasn’t alone.
Since this afternoon, the CMAs have erased all evidence of Beyonce performing. Granted, she was a “surprise”, but for as huge of a star she is, you would think she would be a great diversifying highlight. Alas, not. A few people have noticed Beyonce’s disappearance and tweeted the award show to get some type of explanation.
But, one thing the CMAs can’t deny is her star power. In her 5 minutes on stage, the CMAs saw a staggering 6,000% increase, giving them their highest views in 50 years! IN 5 MINUTES!
