The Knicks snapped their losing streak by coming back with vengeance against the Pacers. During the post-game, Derrick Rose wants Knicks fans to rise up but at the same time, gave us a glimpse as to what life would be like in the playoffs.
The Knicks were back home after their west coast trip that didn’t go exactly as planned. The Phoenix Suns game really messed with their flow as they lost that game in overtime. As last night’s game against the Pacers progressed, we quickly learned how a team picked up the defense and started firing back. It was quite possibly the easiest way to gain back some confidence so they could get back into the game.
During the post-game conference, Derrick Rose made some bold predictions as to what can come if the Knicks make the playoffs. Keep in mind that Rose had been missing for 2 games now.
“Right now the goal is the playoffs,” Rose said. “Once we get in the playoffs we’re going to be a hell of a team to go against, like you don’t know what to expect from us in the playoffs.
“I think we’re going to be a dangerous team in the playoffs but the first thing is to get there.”
Rose scored 24 points on the night and are awaiting Thursday night’s game against the Orlando Magic at the Garden. Was his prediction too bold for your tasting? We’ll have to wait and see how this works out for the Knickerbockers.
