Many old school folks can grow weary of the rules in the NBA but as ex NBA legend Gary Payton shared, this is all for the better of future generations to come.
Draymond Green continues to get these flagrant fouls and it keeps giving us more to talk about. Some folks feel that they’re not that serious but when in fact, it shows a bigger issue. Think about who is watching and then you’ll realize why it matters a lot, the kids. Children lead by example and if they see something good going on, they’ll copy.
TMZ cameras caught up with ex-NBA great Gary Payton and he reflected on the game in his almost 20-year career. He commented on Draymond Green’s recent foul in which he kicked James Harden in the face.
“It’s a physical game but nowadays, basketball is not like that anymore. Adam Silver is doing a good job. He’s trying to make this game a better game. But we got to understand, kids are watching these games. So we got to make it safe where they want to go and watch the game. So if they see someone getting kicked in the face, they’re going to go to their league and try to kick someone in the face and say, ‘Well, Draymond Green did it. I can do it.’
We’ll keep our eye on this but one thing’s for sure-these kicks have got to go.
