So much for us talking about Klay Thompson’s shooting struggles, because he just busted out like a man possessed.
Talk about efficient play — Klay Thompson became the fourth player in Warriors franchise history — the first in 42 years — to score 60 points in a game, embarrasing the Pacers at Oracle Arena.
It’s the NBA’s first 60-point game since Kobe Bryant dropped 60 on the Utah Jazz in his career finale — and to make it more remarkable — Thompson became the first player in the shot-clock era to score 60 points in less than 30 minutes of action.
Lets not leave out that he had 40 points after the first half.
This is what Klay's career-high 60 point shotchart looks like.
He's 21-33 from the field (8-14 3PT) and it only took three quarters! pic.twitter.com/UAaw6ctQfN
