The Jets were off to a great start with that opening drive that resulted in a touchdown but once the third quarter rolled around, it all unraveled too fast as the Dolphins laid touchdown after touchdown. Todd Bowles reflected on the loss in the post-game.
Bryce Petty is getting the shot he wanted very dearly. Todd Bowles made the announcement that Petty is starting the last 4 games of the season and now that he has 2 games in the bag, it’s pretty evident that there’s a lot that needs to improve but Petty is one fast learner. During the Jets-Dolphins Saturday night game, things looked pretty aggressive on behalf of the Jets. They scored a touchdown within the first couple of minutes of the first quarter but the momentum left in the second half.
That all changed in the second half. The Dolphins came out hard and in fact, Petty got the wind knocked out of him as he was sandwiched between Cameron Wake and Ndamukong Suh. Petty managed to get to the podium during the post-game and discussed the hit.
Petty "if I can take hits from Suh & Wake, I'll be alright." #Jets

The biggest story of last night’s game is also riding on the fact that Bowles’ job may be on thin ice. He continues to take responsibility for the losses but is taking responsibility going to save his job? As much as he says that it’s a reflection of him as a coach, his players should also step up and take some responsibility. Firing him doesn’t solve anything.
The Jets have the Patriots and the Bills left on their schedule. This team needs to come together and not give up completely even though their season was over weeks ago.
