With teams and coaches not wanting to give a oppoent any extra edge, I can see why coaches would be nervous about an Antonio Brown style video getting out.
After the Steelers beat the Chiefs, Antonio Brown started up his Facebook Live for the world to see. It started off with just a lot of dancing and smiling, but then Boston media got a hold of what was being said about the Patriots.
As the team is called together for a postgame prayer, Brown keeps the camera rolling. After the prayer, Tomlin made a statement.“When you get to this point in the journey, not a lot needs to be said,” said Tomlin. “Let’s say very little moving forward. Let’s start our preparations. We spotted those a******* a day and a half. They played yesterday. Our game got moved to tonight. We gonna touch down at 4 o’clock in the f****** morning. So be it. We’ll be ready for that ass. But you ain’t gotta tell them we coming. Because some of us might not like the damn (woofkisses?) The chest pounding. Keep a low profile.”
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was asked about Brown’s post in his weekly interview with WEEI, and of course that goes against all of Bill Belichick’s policies.
“That’s against I think our team policy. I don’t think that would go over well with our coach.”
Brady said Bill Belichick’s policy goes against his team “showing anything that should be private.”
“When we’re inside of our stadium or inside of our walls there has to be a degree of privacy,” he said. “What’s done in the locker room should stay in the locker room.”
